Aquariums: Curious why some people have this thing “crooked” on the back of their tanks?
Is that a filter? I have seen numerous people with a similar looking accessory in their tank and it’s attached on an angle just like this one. I’m a newbie to this stuff so excuse my ignorance.
The black bar looking thing? That’s the heater. You most likely need one on in your tank, too

It’s a heater. Some of them need to be fully under water and in longer thanks it’s easier to have them slanted. Or slanting them helps the heat spread more? Idk.

Heater. It’s suggested to place it on an angle around 45 degree for even heat distribution. Warm water to rise from the top and cooler water flows in from the bottom

That’s a heater, I’ve got mine horizontal near the inflow/outflow pipes to circulate the heat while keeping it out of my line of sight
