Figured I’d post these to help anyone out researching this combo. I couldn’t find much in the way of clear side imaging examples for this new model.
Upgraded from a UHD93sv GT54 –> Helix 7 MSI. Would say it’s much better than both, certainly good enough to get a read on where structure is. Beam angles are quite impressive, you can see that in some instances I was in less than 4ft and could still read out to the sides past 60ft. This was not the case with the older GT54.
Water was tannin stained, but around 6 feet visibility, silt bottom. Auto High Brightness, manual contrast + range, auto scroll speed. Mounted on a Hobie Lynx.
