Easy 8lb, honest. It’s just the camera angle; for reals. Nearly tore the spool through my guides. Apologies for the bad handling, I had to hold it up for the picture because it wouldn’t stay still on the ground, but she swam away fine and I only had her out of the water for less than 10 minutes.
