I recently got this rod new and added a martin 63 reel with Rio mainstream DT4F line and a 4x 7 1/2 foot leader.
It's most likely technique but, my leader and yarn fly (yard casting) end up in a pile at the end of my outstretched fly line. I'm wondering if leader length might affect this but guessing that I may sort it out with a few more hours of practice casting. Any thoughts?
