Yeah as said above…an old man saw I didn't have a good sized weight and immediately got to work and gave me this….he then taught me how to fix reel twists and how to properly cast, I was wondering was the pattern on the weight is called?

That’s actually cool
I’ve seen people use natural stone for weights when bottom fishing (like carp, for example) it kind of looks like one of those. Cool story, though!
