I have this reel and want to put 20 lb braid on it. The manufacturer only lists up to 14 lb braid. Is 20 lb braid okay to throw on it? Still new to how fishing line ratings and stuff work.
Braid is thin, a couple pound difference isn’t as extreme as mono line, should be fine

I personally haven’t used braided line in over 10 years, bur yes, it should be fine.

Definitely. If that 35x size reel is the same size as 3500 from other manufacturers then you’ll have more than enough room for 20lb braid. I put 20lb braid on my 2500 reels
