I would have recommended a 9’ 5wt and weight forward line, but if you’re fishing small streams with small flies this’ll do fine.

Bought a 3/4 weight rod and real on amazon from Maxcatch. Wanted it for a back up but ending up having to use it. It did wonderfully. Caught nice trout. It came pre spooled and was easy to switch from right to left. I think all together it was like 60$-70$ (bought them separately green rod). I suggest if you want to save your money for the cost of flys, look into maxcatch.

Should do fine starting out, I’ve used some Cabela’s rods and they’re functional. 4wt rods are fun.
