Gonna start this post off by saying I have very little knowledge about fly fishing, However there is a rainbow fishery around 2 hours away me and my buddy want to fish (it is fly only), the average fish in there is around 5lb and the largest is 30lb. It consists of 5 small lakes, what sort of fly rod would I need to fish for them??
I have heard that a 5 or a 6wt would be fine for them, however I thought i'd ask here for some advice. Would this combo be any good?? I'm trying not to break the bank to hard.

Avg fish is 5lbs? Tell me the lake and I’ll let you know which rod I’m bringing.
You should get a 6 or 7wt. Probably 7. You can cast into the wind with it and throw indicator rigs. Good for streamer fishing too
