I’ve never had anything more expensive than a $25 Shakespeare 5’6” spinning combo with the pre-spooled monofilament.
I just picked up a Pflueger President combo, President 30, 6’ one piece Medium-Light rod, extra fast action, and threw on some 8lbs PowerPro moss green braid. (Also never used braid before). It feels so much nicer than what I have. Hopefully it lands me some more fish too.

Will definitely feel the difference in sensitivity
. The president rods closely resembles the previous fenwick eagle rods imo besides reel seats.. I think they are made from the same manufacturer.
