Recently bought this Pescador pedal driven kayak and love it, I’ve been wanting to install a trolling motor to get faster from spot to spot, any ideas on what to buy or how to install? What do y’all recommend?
You have the option of replacing the pedal drive with a trolling motor.
Or add a trolling motor to the back. Some even have a bar behind the chair that extends past the kayak for mounting a trolling motor.
Personally, I’d opt for a trolling motor to the back. Keep the pedal drive for control and cruising while fishing and then trolling motor for the longer distances.
One thing I won’t advise is a front mounted trolling motor. Gets in the way of casting.
Another option could also be an E-bike pedal drive. Same as an electric bicycle, it supports you while peddling.
