A cherry barb also jumped out and was there in between the tub and the tank and couldn’t make……my assumption is they were chasing around and they jumped? Sometimes during the night when I turn on room lights they panic a lot . But never saw my betta panic only other fish…..i reduced the water level by two inches ….I do have a lid but if I put it incant use the light…..can I increase the water level by one inch….could it be water parameters cuz I where I live fresh water test kits are hard to get and very costly….I do regular water changes and have moderate planting. Is there something I should do. I’ve had the fish for 1 nd half years and it’s never done this…..no fish has jumped ..but I’ll admit that the water was a little high this time
