It looks like your paddle tail is upside down in this image but otherwise I’ve fished this exact same jig with a paddle and had some nice bass eat it

What are you targeting? This is a very common setup for flounder and other saltwater fish. I feel like in the bass world bucktails have fallen out of favor and synthetic bass jigs have taken there place but a bucktail is a universal bait. Works almost anywhere.
