I (m29) got into fishing this summer because I have two small boys (4 and 7) that really wanted to go. The learning curve was steep as I never had any father figure that took me fishing or taught me.
I’ve gone every Saturday morning all summer, and this Saturday was the first time I personally caught a fish. My boys will catch smaller bluegill or crappie on worms, and usually I spend 80% of my time tying hooks or setting worms for them.
Caught this 5lb (guess, no scale) largemouth while fishing a pond with a friend of mine. I caught it on a Texas rigged Googan Bandito bug, and I’ve got to say it was definitely worth all the Saturdays I got skunked!
