Caught my first fish

Sorry for the bad angle on the picture, but I was surprised about the catch and wanted to return the fish to their home quickly.

I started fishing with my dad as a kid, but it was boring so I stopped. A few months ago I started again but havent caught anything. Today, I went out at 5am in the rain, tried for a few hours with a few different lures and bait and as usual, nothing. Stopped raining, lost some lures, and was getting warm so I was about to give up. Put the lure in the picture on and my first cast was terrible, landed like 5 feet away so I started to reel in. Felt a tug and though I got stuck on another branch, lo and behold it was this dude, a small hungry fish that decided to be my first catch in 23 years.
