Betta Fish: Too many plants?

I already had a lot of plants, then we added water lettuce to one of our other tanks – so now it's in all 4 tanks…

He seems to wander a lot more since adding 5he water lettuce, I think because it dims the tank light a little.

I regularly trim back the planted plants and remove some of the floaters so there's enough space for food/bubble nests/breathing, I'm just worried because how many plants is too many – is this too many?

First betta (around 6 months in now though) I just want to know he's as happy as can be!
