I purchased my betta back in April from Petco, he was very small and listed as a “baby boy”. I’m now starting to wonder if he is actually a she. Any input greatly appreciated.
In terms of appearance—one, female bettas tend to be a bit chunkier, and two, most females don’t have little beards poking outside of their gills, and three, they usually have an egg spot, but I don’t see one. Could more likely be a girl. Your little guy is adorable though!
