Blueberry is my boy, however, this is my first betta fish (or fish ever.) I’ve got all the things for him, I’m trying my best to make sure to condition his 10 gallon tank every week-2weeks. I’ve got a master test kit and everything. Are there any tips I should be aware about? I’ve noticed his color dulling and I’m a bit worried, I don’t know what that means

  1. I’d suggest you should maybe get rid of some of the plastic plants and replace them with real ones—silk ones are great too but real plants are the best ones. Maybe add some driftwood too.

I’ve also heard from a few on here say that the coloured gravel isn’t natural for them—bettas are more used to darker substrate in the wild. Another con regarding the substrate is that it’s usually poorly made and the paint can sometimes chip off.

His fins also look like they’re rotting a little. Kanaplex is great for that.

And what are the exact water parameters?
