Disappointed at my hook failing me after having a strong fight against what definitely would’ve been a new record for me. I normally used these hooks as my go to because of how sharp they are but as this has happened twice (drag was set low to avoid stressing the hook), I want to look at other options or advice for what to use. Pictured is a bent 2/0 Gamakatsu circle hook, which I used at a different lake catching 10 pound carp or less, but a new one I went to have bigger ones apparently.
