I bought this small rooster tail lure but I could barely cast it because of how light it was. so i added a little worm weight and i can cast it pretty far now. I've caught a few fish on it, and from what I can see the only difference to the action is that the lure nose dives slightly.

Get some splitshot weights if you are able to find any.
I would say try a lighter line but there’s nothin wrong with that
You have too heavy of a rod my man. Inline spinners are supposed to be used in light or ultralight gear, while this might work you’re definitely not getting the most out of your lure
