Recently got an older model of the pflueger patriarch, seemingly in great condition. One issue i’m experiencing though: the resistance when pulling drag is uneven, like theres some hot spot in the mechanism where it rubs a bit extra every revolution, if that makes any sense.
I’m assuming the previous owner has had it open and lubed/greased at some point, as he came off as the type to take good care of his gear. I’ve had it open to grease and lube as well, though just to the assembly below the spool, not the drag mechanism it self.
Any tips on what might be the issue? I’m thinking i messed something up when reassembling the reel my self, though i’ve done so without issue with other reels before. Tia!
