This is Ea. He was gifted to me 3 weeks ago. He is generally shy, staying mostly under anubia and cryptocoryne, but will always come to greet me and swim dangerously close during the water change (hit his head with the tube once). Today I was removing a dead leaf, he came very close to my hand and let me touch his belly without being fazed. Is it OK?

Just realised that he looks like bloated in the photo due to his coloration, but he is actually still very thin… He was really emancipated.
Also my parents have had tutles and goldfish for 30 years, none of the goldfish is “**cuddly**”
If you allow them to come to you and don’t move to touch them, that’s okay. Contact can damage their slime coating.
