3lbs 15oz. 6am channel fishing in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. River2Sea top water perch whopper plopper, 10ft off the dock in about 4ft of water. Was using my oldest backup Berkeley lightning rod with an R2F 1 bearing spinning reel, 8lb mono. Was a miracle I landed this fish, no net had to lip him off the dock and get stabbed by a treble in the process. I think I’ll have a hard time trying to beat this one for while…
