How do I use these drop rigs surf fishing??

I’m going to Corolla soon and will be surf fishing mostly. I will be going out on chartered trip as well but I expect I would use their setup. I’m buying pre made pompano rigs and weights now and I’m using a penn battle 2 with forty pound braid. Just wondering if these would be useful and how they are actually supposed to be used!
