This beautiful fella [Sciaenops ocellatus] was my second ever Red Drum catch, and the first bull that my family caught.

My experience that day with that beautiful Bull single-handedly turned the Big Reds into some of my favorite fish! Ended up letting it go though, for two reasons: I wanted to, didn’t want my first memorable catch to end with the majestic beastie dead. And two- it was too big! Clocked at a 40-44 incher and 24 pounds.
