Are there big bass trapped behind beaver dams? I was walking upstream from a local pond and found this, about 2ft deep here. Worth bringing some mud boots so I can get close enough to fish it?

Possible but more likely there’s smaller fish. I’m generally a fan of fishing hard to reach spots so I’d be all over that. I’d start with a light or ultralight rod and some kind of small lure then work my way up in size.
