One of the greatest fun is chasing pikeperch in the night.

  1. This is pikeperch (stizostedion lucioperca), a close relative of walleye. Although it’s quite common in european big rivers and lakes, it’s a little bit out of the sight for flyfishers. But chasing it in the night, when they are hunting in the shallow water is real fun. Be quiet, use no lamps and always be ready for a take that’s as sharp as a lightningstrike.
I have put this here as a small curiosity, because I don’t know how popular walleye-flyfishing is. I haven’t seen posts neither about walleye nor about pikeperch.
