Opened up my reel for some cleaning and lubrication, and the gears look practically brand new after ~150 fish. Is gearing longevity a concern of the past for Freshwater fishermen?

NoGovernment1762 on August 22, 2024 2:37 am Forgot to say I also have a size what looks to be about 2000-2500 size reel that came with the rod my 1000 is on but I didn’t want my 1000 to collect dust because it’s a shimano Sahara and I really like it.
