What pound test braid and mono should I be using for fish like this?
Been catching guys this big flatlining with my shimano nexave spinning reel. I haven't had any issues yet but I'd like to hear what more experienced people would set up with. Thanks.
10-20lb braid with 8-12lb fluoro would be fine, I’ve caught trout fishing with 40lb braid for salmon before, and land them quite consistently using 10-15lb fluoro leader though you can definitely use lighter line.

When i go after those big ole rainbows i try to use atleast 12 pound test depending on how many weeds are in your body of water if its thick then use braid it cuts through the weeds if its clear then i recommend the mono its got stretch
