Stella fk 5000, best real for my type of fishing, a certate is also awesome but the mag seal thing is weird for me, I'm used to fix my things with some regular maintenance and no complications. I love the extra weight compared to the certate, and pairs better with my rods, completely balanced, I have all the shimano family, love to fish light as possible and smooth to, this is holding 300 meters of PE 1.2 fits perfect and can handle some beasts smoothly and calmly. This from Portugal, all saltwater fishing , but after each fishing day, got them all the basic cleaning and maintenance.
For some harder fishing sessions I use the twin power sw, or for the very hard places and I know I will beat me and my stuff, I use allways my daiwa Capricorn 4500, old but though can handle everything but that is in dangerous places that i need to suspend and reel the fish up over 10 and more meters, but I'm from Portugal, a fish with more than 1 kg pulled from more than 10mt is not easy. For the lighter work I use the tp xd, and for even lighter stuff, the daiwa emeraldas, it is magsealed , but I'm not completely shimano fan boy, love both brands, but I know with the latest shimano models and older models I have 100%trusted guys that make it even better than new, with daywa and new reels it's just a bit harder to find the right guy, and it is easier for now to mod a shimano. But hey love fishing I'm here, I'm from Portugal, nice to meet you guys, my main fishing practices are, spinning, float fishing most of the times that's what I love more, and fish with like just at max with 10 to 20 grams of lead, max weight i launch is about 50 to 60 grs in hard conditions but in land, in a boat i can go up some heavier lures to get those big seabass and "corvinas" I don't know how to spell it in English but they can pass 50 kg easy. Just can't have the patience to surfcasting, I allways need to get the rod in my hand and feel everything, can't wait for that big fish. Thats why float fishing for breams and seabass is my favorite, and i bet, 1kg fish for pe1.2 lines and really light weight gear is harder than you think , specially if you have some sharp rocks in front of you, the fluorocarbon is beaten up, finding the right spot to get the fish if you can't suspend it because of the weight and the rod is very fragile, man that's a bunch of adrenaline. It's the condition and the lighter you fish that makes you enjoy it more and give that adrenaline rush. This is a form of art, bad knots, gear not giving proper care you will get bad results, specially with lighter gear, when you get it right there is no way back. You are a complete fishing junky

Mag seal is a pain because you can’t self service. I haven’t heard of any issues with Shimano’s X-Protect water repellent, so I’ll give them the nod on that.
