I’m a beginner just getting used to fly fishing and I’m starting to love it. Here is my very basic beginner fly kit, which flys should I use for a river in NW Indiana? OR are there some absolute must haves I need to have? Thank you so much!!

I always reccomend anyone who ends up with a bunch of flys they don’t know what’s what to start researching flys in general and then separate out what they have and try to figure out specifically what type of fly it is and what would be the intended target fish and lastly how to fish it.
After an evening or two of surfing I bet you have a handle on that box. Then research your trips for type of water, species and any angler input on what they are having success with. The internet is just fantastic for anglers And makes it so easy to hit the ground running, we used to have to go to library😎
