Aquariums: Will these red scats pose a threat to my alligator gar?
If these red scats grow up and my alligator gar eats them, will my alligator gar get poisoned and die? Cause I've just now heard that these red scats are poisonous.
Just from a quick Google search, I would err on the side of caution.
Scats, it seems, come from Australia/Asia while the Gar is from North America. Using that, I would think the gar would not be suited to combat the poison and may be harmed or die.
However, I have never kept either of these fish, so I would not know for sure.
With that being said, how big is your tank? That gar looks massive!

I wouldn’t trust any fish to be with an alligator gar. If he can get them, he will eat them.
