My rod broke recently during transport and I've tried to fix it using rope and superglue, yesterday when I went fishing it broke during my casting therefore I'd appreciate any suggestions on how I could improve it.

  1. LowBottomBubbles on

Take it to a tackle shop, they should do rod repairs if its a decent one. Had plenty of eyes replaced by local one and a couple blanks fixed but it might be cheaper to buy a new rod. The only reason I had one of mine fixed was because it was my first decent rod when I was a kid.

  2. Other than buying a new one, they sell repair kits online, Amazon has some(low cost). They come with stainless steel tubes of different sizes, rod tips, sand paper, glue, you name it, it’s in there. Perhaps sanding a bit and and putting a tube on that is a tight fit could solve the issue. Hope that helps.
