I’ve never seen a spinning reel with a spool like this. Supposedly it’s to eliminate (or attempt to) line twist. Tried to look it up but could not find anything. Surely if it was a game changer all new reels would have it. 🤔
Could be custom made, I get the theory and it may even be better for casting distance with less friction on the spool, I’d try it and would love to see the results.
