Buddy acquired this set up from his boss. He gave it to me as a birthday gift since I was wanting to get into fly fishing. I’m new to fly fishing so I don’t know anything about the stuff. Just curious if I scored and got a good setup for free. Either way it’s a free setup so I’m excited to try it out.

Absolutely, and better than decent. Vintage Fenwicks are prized, and it will be a great small stream rod. The old glass Fenwicks have a cult following and sell for more than their original purchase price on Ebay. I have a similiar model that is now (wait for calculation) 48 years old and I still enjoy fishing it. Nice enough to be collectible, but you can definitely fish it.
