I found a fish in the sea with no body except its head, but I didn't understand the type of fish. I hope someone who knows what fish it is and what could cause this can inform us. Its aegean sea.

  1. It’s a tuna head, Google says you have albacore, skipjack, bluefin and little tunny there so one of those. Meat that’s left looks a little light to be bluefin though, but hard to tell without knowing size and it’s been dead a while.

  2. Bluefin Tuna caught in commercial long line. They clean them onboard and they dispose the heads in the sea.

That is from the tuna family. Looks like another fish got hungry and decided to munch but the fish probably choked to death on the mouthful of line. Sad

Some type of tuna. Already cleaned/processed and the carcass thrown back in the water. Pretty frustrating that they left the line in it’s mouth.
