Betta Fish: Thoughts?

My first betta fish tank. The tank is 2 and a half weeks old – there are a few things I would do differently:

• Have a layer of sand over the substrate as every time I have had to adjust a plant, the dust goes everywhere. Which explains the dust that is covering many of the plants

• I also would have boiled and then weighed down the driftwood before putting it in.

• I would have added shrimp in before the betta fish.

I plan to add some amano shrimp to see how they get on (there is hair algae I’d like cleaned up).
