i’ve had my half moon betta fish for about a month and i’m pretty sure he’s got an infection of some sort but i’m not completely sure what to do. (think it was the water i put him in) i’m almost positive it’s fin rot. i spend so much money on him today, i got blood worms to help with the tissue. i got prime chlorine remover to help condition the water (as well as the conditioner) and pimafix to help the infection and rot itself. it took me 3hr of research while changing the water to finally get him back in there and he’s just at the bottom of the tank, and he’s not eating much.

I know the pimafix will take a week of treatment and i’m hoping to it’ll help him out after that and the 25% water change but is there anything else i could be doing??? i don’t want to over complicate it or overwhelm him anymore.

(1st picture is when i got him and the 2nd is today)

Someone pls help!

    Tank size: 2.5
    Heater: No & Filter: Yes
    Tank Temp: 78.4
    Parameter: ???
Tank age: Not sure it was given to me
Fish age: I got him a month and a half ago

I’ve changed his water 3 times now, i usually change the entire tank (i didn’t know i wasn’t supposed to do 100% of the water) I usually clean the decor with baking soda and rinse them several times. I rinse the tank several times and then fill it with water, condition it and allow it to sit to cool to the correct temperature.

    No tank mates just him.

I feed him the pellets, a pinch twice a day

I have a live plant, a plastic purple one and a small greek type ruin building
