Depends where you’re headed. Great Lakes or other places where fish are known to be bigger, might want more for the trout, otherwise use your drag and keep that rod top high. I’d use the two spinning rods, as depending where you go, 20 lbs of braid will likely do you good for anything. Also it seems like you have a righty retrieve bait cast and you’re a lefty retrieve, like me.
Long term try getting some shimano saharas. Best spinning reel for the money and I like them more than my pricey reels.
