Surf casting off a local beach here on the east coast of Northland, New Zealand. Have a boat but in all fairness I enjoy beach fishing more, something about tackling snapper in their holes as they feed on shellfish, tide and bite time absolutely key to success. Typically piper for bait, 8kilo mono with tapered leader.
