Ignore the dislodged plants š
This is my second ever attempt at my 6 gallon Ultum 45S (my first and only tank). Last 2 pictures are the first attempt I made back in February this year when I got my betta. I had to redo since Iām still a beginner and forgot to do water changes (I had no filter at all), and I wasnāt happy with the color of the first substrate I used.
Iām worried I didnāt use enough substrate. I also want to get some floating plants. My tank currently has my halfmoon betta my boyfriend named Starry Eyes, and 1 black racer nerite snail named Turbo. I want to get 1 more nerite and maybe one day an African Dwarf Frog but worried it would eat the plants and dig too much in the substrate. My betta is very chill and doesnāt get bothered by other living things.

Plenty of substrate. If you feel you need more, buy you a long spouted funnel at the automotive store and gently pour the substrate in that way, but you got plenty, the roots spread out across the tank depending on what plants
