I currently have an empty 15gal tank which i’m planning to set up again and i’m considering owning a betta smaragdina, similar to the one in the picture, as a centerpiece fish in the near future. I’m planning to use a large piece of driftwood and some rocks for the hardscape and then plant it heavily for a naturalistic look.
I am wondering which peaceful species of schooling fish would look the best next to the betta smaragdina. Any recommendations?
I’m considering a school of harlequin rasboras or ember tetras, but i would love to hear your opinions on the matter.
