I went fishing yesterday and it was really slow. I usually catch quite a few on topwater but not even a strike. I caught this fat little guy on a plastic worm and he kept me from getting skunked. I talked to quite a few fisherman and they hadn't done well either.
Believe it or not, out of all the people I spoke the person that caught the most bass was standing on the dock at the boat ramp. As I was getting the kayak set up and launched I saw him catch 3 bass on a white soft swim bait. As I was leaving I commented on how well he was doing and he said he had already caught 2 before I arrived.
