Saw a bunch of these on the water (midge?). Tried to buy some flies to replicate them and just some other dries I think would work (2nd&3rd row in pic 4). How do these look?
Meant to buy basic trout hooks for eggs. What type of fish could I expect to catch with these? What are conditions are they used for?

The thing I changed that did it for me was NOT pulling the tag end of the braid when tightening, and only tying the securing overhang knots before cutting the leader tag end. After that, it’s been working much better.
