I have an almost zero dollar budget for aquarium supplies beyond the basics, so this has been a multiple year project of buying everything on clearance and DIY'ing everything but the livestock.
It's not prefect, but my fish are happy and healthy. š
Needs a solid vacuum on the substrate, and my light was >30$ @ homedepot so that definitely needs an upgrade. Got a solid canister filter, but need a new water pump to increase flow for my little Amazonian babies.
