So after more than a few wind knots and such I’ve had to remove a good amount of my braid, was wondering if I can just use the existing braid as a backing and tie more braid to it or if it’s best to remove the braid and start fresh?

Personally I would tie a triple surgeon knot and just add more braid from whatever your takeing it off of another reel spool etc
