I’ve been trying to untangle this mess for an hour. I get a little out and then run into a dead end. I made the mistake of cutting the line thinking that it would help but the line is just too thick.

Take a pair of scissors and start cutting line. Start over with new line. Make sure the break is set so the lure slowly moves when you push the button.

99 knots on the bait caster reel
    you untie one down
    pass it around
107 knots on the bait caster reel

  3. Cut it and respool. You’ll be ahead in time and with fresh line that isn’t potentially damaged

  4. Give up, at least that’s what I did. Sorry but I see no advantage to baitcasters over spinning rods for the hassle they cause. It’s simply not worth my time.

  5. Remove the baitcaster from your pole. Throw it in the garbage and get a spinning reel.
