PB bass so far. Currently using plain shank hooks but bought a pack of circle hooks after reading they’re better because they’re self setting. Would circle hooks prevent this from happening? Felt really bad unhooking it but it swam off great.

Circle hooks should definitely help prevent that lol, I typically use them for catfish though.
It happens ahaha. I snagged a smallie in the back a few weeks back with a crankbait 🤣
