First post on reddit! 60gallon, dirted + sand capped + planted, with a pair of angels and an albino leopard pleco. (The new plants still have to be planted oops)
i use potting soil to start with, then wait for the hundreds of shrimp and snails to break down the detritus into usable plant nutrients then let the cycle take care of itself

I use some liquid CO2 fertiliser from EasyLife, but the rest is fish waste. Give the aquarium some time (without fertiliser) and if the plants don’t grow try using some root tabs, I had always better results with them than the liquid things
