I just bought 3 spoons, individually packaged. One has a split ring and swivel, but two don’t. Should they all have that? Is there a best way to attach the line in either case?

I guess to save money. It’s definitely better to have a swivel and a ring on a spoon. You can easily add some. The swivel will prevent your line from twisting.

I watched [one of those fishing videos](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRShF5tYMDo) where they videoed the action of the lure underwater. A ring changes the action of the lure slightly by giving it more lateral motion (so it “swims” more in the water as you reel it in). In the vid they talk about crankbaits but the same should apply for other lures. However idk; the main thing for these was probably cost. Definitely if there’s no swivel you should have one on your line.

I think Im about to buy some split rings and split ring pliers so I can change the treble hooks out on some of my lures, as well as add sopit rings more easily to lures that dont come with one to attach the line to.
