In my experience, night fishing is a bit better than the mid-day time slot between the dawn and dusk feeding periods. Lures with lots of vibration are great (spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, crankbaits knocking off of rocks/hard cover), as well as darker colored lures (especially for bottom fishing). If you have your own fishfinder and you’re able to find bass actively feeding on baitfish, then of course capitalize on that. I try to minimize equipment just because it’s a pain to deal with lots of extra rods and tackle at night. Besides all that, I typically use the same strategies as I would normally.

Also never hurts to emphasize be safe (bring you PFD, be aware of your surroundings, etc. etc. all the stuff I’m sure you already know).
